The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the team enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.

Fans can anticipate discovering which characters will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
